Without it, I'd provide a button to download the beatmap via the Web browser, if you don't already have it. With osu!direct (if that's possible), this would be totally seamless, which would be awesome. I have one feature planned where you can see a stream of beatmaps by other players / friends being played, as well as a "click to share" beatmap (which is the same thing, but with a selection). You mean downloading the beatmaps directly from within Holodance, like osu!direct? I have actually asked Dean about it but he hasn't answered, yet. and I guess it's wise to start with less and let players "opt-in" to the other game modes.Ĥ. I have a few really awesome "Catch the Beat" songs in my library but haven't tested a lot of them. Only having osu! on by default is a good idea. And using "Up" one or two times is much less effort than trying to find the song again. I think this is actually "by design": I'm assuming that people may want to play a song again, or a different difficulty of the same song, after one session. I hope I'll still get at least some of the improvements into the song browser before leaving for 10 days on Monday.Ģ. Absolutely! Unfortunately, this week went very differently from how I had planned it (lots of things I had to do that kept me from working on the Sliders and song browser). Wow, that's some pretty impressive gameplay - awesome! :-)ġ.
Wii theme song helvian osu mania beatmap update#
I will continue to post more as it comes but overall I love this update and hope to see continued support. I know I have more feedback but it's 3am and need to get some sleep. it took me a good hour or so to figure out where I should be standing and sometimes I would lose my spot and the target grid wasn't quite good enough to allow me to adjust quickly. It would be nice to have some kind of spot marked on the floor as an optimal place to stand or at least as starting point for where a new player should stand. This doesn't seem to be an issue in the native play modes where the grid is gray.Ģ. It's pretty bright and can be distracting which makes it difficult to parse the upcoming orbs. I turn off the target grid because I'm pretty use to where orbs will land but I think there should be an option to adjust the transparency of the grid in OSU. Getting beats perfect coulud have more pronounced effects.ġ. Otherwise, I still really like that these exist in the beatmap and add variance.Ĥ. I think the notes that slide could look more polished and maybe could have a more pronounced affect like sticking longer just like in OSU. I'm not sure what the 2x - 0 > or 3x - 0 > means?ģ. It would be cool to have the effect be more pronounced as you spin faster maybe they get bigger or maybe more particles.Ģ. Sometimes they stick to your head and you can't spin them at all. The spinners are awkward and feel buggy to use. Needs a way to sort by difficulty and to see the number of stars for a song.ġ. Would be nice to allow for more native beatmap downloading on Ranked and Qualified beatmaps.ĥ. I don't find the other modes very fun or interesting and feel like it would be disappointing to a first time user loading up a mania beatmap.Ĥ. I think the filters for songs should default to OSU beatmaps only at first. There's a UI bug where you have to click UP ^ after finishing a song to get back to the song list.ģ. There's just a lot of information and it's a little jarring for a first time user.Ģ. The UI to pick songs needs to be a lot clearer. I try to play the hardest setting for all songs and only stick with the OSU beatmaps.Īfter around 4 hours of play time I have some feedback on the integration.ġ. Just thought I'd share a 3 song session I recorded with the OSU update.
